We support vulnerable populations

through organic gardening education.

Project AngelFaces creates unique programs that build originally-designed, organic, educational,  and rehabilitative gardens called The Organic Gardens of Project AngelFaces. Our original programs are as unique as the organizations with whom we partner. We use locally-sourced, repurposed materials diverted from the landfill, to build raised garden containers.  We design programs to teach participants in specific vulnerable populations employable organic gardening skills.. Our programs empower participants to:  grow food, support themselves financially, and share abundance with ALL vulnerable citizens.

Program Description

These are custom-designed programs that grow organic gardening skills to benefit vulnerable populations, from teaching nutrition awareness to nutrition education, through every step of producing and growing organic food in raised bed gardens. These programs enrich quality of life for participants, either as beneficiaries or volunteers.

Agreement and Tools

Partnering agencies agree to commit to fully support the program for a minimum of 5 years, through funding, sharing of volunteer resources, media support and full participation within the agency. The tools we use to build these programs are as unique as the programs themselves; we use re-purposed materials as often as possible and general contracting tools to build the actual gardens. We use social and regular media outlets to grow support and participation in the programs. Additionally, we build upon the values of social work principles to create the programs for beneficiaries.

Partnering Agencies

Local social service organizations that benefit vulnerable populations interested in expanding their programming with organic gardening.Organic Garden Coach: Experienced organic gardener, who is able to share skills and teach across broad, vulnerable populations.

Project Coordinators

Project AngelFaces staff members who create the collaboration between partnering agencies and PAF to build and maintain each program and garden.

Volunteers

Caring members of the broader community who help build and tend each garden and support staff through participation at program events.

Donating Agencies

Companies and non-profits who can donate manpower, goods or services to help build the gardens and maintain the programs.

Beneficiaries

Vulnerable members of our population, from at risk youth to elders to the developmentally disabled, whose quality of life is increased by these programs.
